PNED Laser scattering ASD L-P

Laser chamber

PNED L series aspirating smoke detector builds on the latest laser scattering technology providing ultra-high sensitivity to the smoke particles down to 200nm. Light sensors are placed in multiple directions of the radiation pathway in the laser chamber, collecting both forward and backward radiation diffraction signals. Advanced laser chamber with complete sealing configuration minimises the possibility of false alarm and reduces the need for maintenance.

Overview

Applications with complex environmental conditions often challenge the effectiveness of spot type smoke detectors. PNED Laser-based L series of aspirating smoke detectors are well designed for protecting valuable assets in these applications by offering a one-stop-solution for wide ranges of environmental impacts providing users with reliable and consistent performance.

Double-stages filtration

The embedded filter box provides three stages of filtration for the sampling airflow. Most airborne contamination particles are removed and trapped at the first stage eliminating severe environmental impact on the detector such as corrosive streams, dust particles and insects. In the second stage, the large smoke particles that could potentially damage the sensing unit are removed, delivering the detector with ready-to-test sampling airflow. The last filtration stage consists of multiple layers of HEPA material providing a clean air stream to the detector.

Airflow monitoring

All PNED series of ASD are equipped with the exclusive ultrasonic airflow monitoring technology (UAM), consistently monitoring the airflow characteristic via differential phase modulation technique. UAM can measure the airflow rate in real-time and examine any damage or leakage along the sampling pipeline providing users with long-term reliable service.
